Node Label References
This section documents the different nodes labels in the DemocraSci database. A node is a database object that stores
represents an entity. The labels assigned to each node provide additional information about the nature of the node.
Each node can have more than one label, which might have different meanings depending on the node; sometimes it implies
inheritance (e.g. Chamber Debate
is a type of Debate
), and other times implies having the
characteristics of both labels. Two or more labels that occur in the same node are called Co-labels in this document.
Each node has a set of attributes, among which one has to be the unique identifier of the node.
Since the database is structured as a directional graph, each node also has incoming and outgoing vertices called relations. The full list of possible relations for each label is included in its reference page.
